August 7, 2012, Walden, NY – The Board of Directors of Hometown Bancorp, Inc., its mutual holding company parent Hometown Bancorp, MHC and its wholly owned subsidiary Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley has named Marjorie S. Rovereto as their new President. Mrs. Rovereto, who will assume her duties on August 13, 2012, is an accomplished senior executive and dynamic leader in the Community Banking industry, with over 25 years of experience. She is the past President and Chief Executive Officer of Ulster Savings Bank, headquartered in Kingston, New York.

Marjorie S. Rovereto earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from The State University of New York at Albany. She is a graduate of the National School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University and has taken courses in Accounting, Management and Business Law at Union College.

Marjorie S. Rovereto will take over for Thomas F. Gibney, President and Chief Executive Officer, who will be retiring at the end of the year. Mr. Gibney will remain as Chief Executive Officer, until his retirement, in order to provide for an orderly transition.
